From D-Day to Paris

Witness momentous World War Two events! We've delved into the archives of the famous Imperial War Museum in London to bring you the story of the conquest of Europe as it was actually reported in the cinemas of the day. Filmed by frontline cameramen, many of whom became casualties themselves, these newsreels are a fascinating record of how World War Two was fought, and of how the war was being depicted on the home front. "Operation Overlord", the greatest invasion by sea and air in history, grows before your eyes from its original force of 130,000 to more than half a million men along with thousands of tanks and planes.
